Brother and Sister Fillmore,
My name is Marc Berg. My wife and 3 kids and I live and work in Osaka, Japan.
We saw the recent article about the new Japanese site for Meridian Magazine.
Thank you for all the effort you put into translating.
We have only lived here for 2 years, with very little Japanese experience.
There are several websites that need Japanese translation. A big one, for
example, is wikipedia. Many Japanese teachers here go to wikipedia for
information in English and Japanese. However, the Japanese is very limited on
the Church information.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
This is the English home page. If you search for any gospel topic, like Moroni,
you get an English page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_Moroni
You can click on the foreign languages pages, but there is so little
information.
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/モロナイ
This is true for every subject; from Jesus, the Old Testament, to Joseph Smith,
or even Priesthood. This would be a time intensive project, but if you or anyone
with good Japanese skills had the time to look over some of these pages, I
really think it would help.
One warning, there is a lot of false information on the English pages now that
Mitt Romney is in the presidential race, it may be the same for foreign
language sites.

This dirty site above looks just like wikipedia, but has nothing good to
offer. You can always tell when you see a picture of Kolob or Joseph instead
of Jesus or President Hinckley
This next site below is similar, but has everything good to say. It looks like
a church member set it up to do scripture study, but there are no foreign
language links.

Anyway, I just thought I would email you and thank you for the Japanese
Meridian site. I will let all the members I know in the Osaka stake know about
it.
Regards,
Marc and Denisha Berg
