See Introduction to this Series Part 5 In this sense, with my deepest love for our own country Japan, with my sincere hope for the prosperity of our good neighbor country, the United States of America, and moreover with my ardent desire for PEACE of the whole human kind on the earth, I do earnestly point out that NOW is the best time and finest chance for restoration of the Japan Mission of the Church. As for the concrete plan for the restoration of the Japan Mission, I shall not repeat it as I have already written in details in my last letter. However, with a firm belief that we shall be the pioneers and forerunners for the spiritual union of both American and Japanese nations we shall spare no pains in order to cooperate in harmony spiritually and materially in every way with our brethern and sisters. I present hereby this opinion to you. May the glory of the Lord be upon you all! Tokyo, Japan TOMIGORO TAKAGI April 6, 1925 w/o Institute for Foreign Affairs of Japan Naka 5-go-kan, Marunouchi, Tokyo Translated by Takeo Fujiwara Editor's Note: It seems this letter from Brother Tomigoro Takagi is to the First Presidency of the Church. Brother Takagi is the father of Sister Toshiko Yanagida, columnist for Meridian Japan. Brother Takagi remained faithful through the dark night of the Japan Mission closure from 1924 to 1948. After the war, he assisted greatly in the work after missionaries arrived back in Japan.
