柳田　聡子姉妹への称え

今日２００８年１月３０日は柳田聡子姉妹は８９歳になりました。ユタの時間は１０時ですので、もうすでに日本時間の３１日午前２時ですが、こちらの時間でま大和石手もよろしいと思います。彼女の聖人のような一生涯に畏敬いたします。毎週のようにEメールでう文通しています。ヒンクレー大管長の死亡を知らせたすぐあと下記はEメールで頂きました。

「驚きました。でも高い栄光に進まれているに違いありません。

 日本にいらしたことが一番多い大管長でした。親しみを感じていました。

お知らせ有難うございました。

 西郷隆盛については、まだ読みきれませんので、メリディアンに送るメッセージを書くのはもっと後になると思います。

 今はインスティテュートの講話がまだ今週の金曜日にもう一回あるので、読みやすい所だけを読んだだけなので、コラムはちょっと書けません。すみません。でもビッグニューズを送ってくださって、感謝します。彼は神様に一番近い方と思っていました。

 私の夫は今年９６歳です。ヒンクレー長老に助けていただいて、少しでも高い栄光に近いところに行けますように願っています。でも頭は弱くなっています。


 霊は元来素直な優しい人で、責任はよく果たしていましたが、ヒンクレー長老とは違う普通の人間です。私も普通の人間ですが、神様のみ心に従って生きて行く決心は変わりません。お祈りすることにすがっています。　柳田聡子」

柳田姉妹は司令官のモロナイのような人物だと思います。

まことに、まことに、わたしはあなたがたに言う。もし過去、現在、未来のすべての人がy柳田聡子のようであれば、見よ、地獄の力でさえもとこしえにくじかれてしまい、また悪魔は決して人の子らの心を支配する力を持たないであろう。（アルマ４８：１７）

彼女はこれを読むとフィルモアの言いすぎだと考えるでしょうがわたしは思いません。心から天の父に彼女の生涯を感謝しています。

　

On this 30th day of January 2008, I pay tribute today to our beloved Sister Toshiko Yanagida who celebrates her 89th birthday today. I stand in awe of her saintlｙ life. I have the privilege of communicating with her at least weekly. Most of what we exchange is in Japanese, but she writes also in English as you can see below. She wants to continue to learn English. She asked that I write something each week in Simple English.

Thank you thank both of you.


Yes, my birthday is January 30th.  Calendar is different between USA and Japan.  Anyway I appreciate very much for your unchanged warm kindness.


I'll be 89 years old on the day.  But I'm still GENKI, I can go to the Temple by myself by Toyokosen electric car with three times changing on the way.  I go to the Temple as an ordinance worker every week.

There are my ancestors, and my dear friends, I feel so.


I am grateful to know even in USA dear friends remembering my birthday.

I feel the words describing Captain Moroni in the Book of Mormon apply to Sister Yanagida for whom I am deeply grateful.

17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all women had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Toshiko Yanagida, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.  Alma 48:16 - 17)

Sister will feel I have overstated things when she reads this, but with all my soul I thank my Heavenly Father for her good life.
