Are we surprised that a comic book style Book of Mormon would come first from America instead of from the leading comic book country, Japan? Michael Allred has made his living writing and drawing comic books and Graphic Novels since January 1990. In addition to his own successful creations Madman, The Atomic and more he has worked on most of the greatest icons in the industry including Superman, Batman and Spiderman.

The Golden Plates marks his most personal project to date and is a testament to his testimony of The Book of Mormon. Working with his wife, award winning colorist Laura Allred, they intend to adapt the entire Book of Mormon in a thorough and absorbing series of graphic novels.
